
Attacker Idris Kanu has confirmed his return to Northampton first-team training on Friday for the first time since February.
The Sierra Leone international suffered a fractured jaw against Walsall on February 5th and he underwent surgery on the 11 of February.
“I am back in training for the first time on Friday expected to be part of the team for my first game next week,” Kanu, 22, told FSL News.
The Cobblers are hoping to have ‘nearly everyone back from injury in the coming days as manager Jady Brady looking forward to a full squad his the race for promotion.
“It has been a big month for us in terms of the number of games we have played,” said manager Jon Brady.
“I feel, hopefully, by the end of this week, we will probably have nearly everyone back, but whether this Saturday comes too soon for them to play, only time will tell.
Kanu joined the club on loan from Peterborough in January for the rest of the season.
